DMS Skills Fest 1.0

Dawn Michaels School proudly hosted its maiden DMS Skills Fest 1.0, a true celebration of creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning.

Held at the end of the Lent Term, the event showcased the remarkable journey of our students—who didn’t just learn, but actively created, built, and mastered practical, real-life skills. Each exhibition stand told a unique story of growth, discipline, and excellence.

The Skills Fest featured a wide range of skill-based hubs, where students confidently displayed and sold their creations, gaining valuable exposure to entrepreneurship and real-world application.

Highlights included:

Fashion & Leather Works – handcrafted bags, shoes, belts, and wallets

  • Food & Confectionery – cakes, chin chin, barbecue, and a variety of culinary creations
  • Home Making Skills
  • Electrical Projects – single and multiple socket boards
  • Bead Making & Fascinator Hats
  • Resin Creations
  • Hair Making & Styling
  • Digital Graphics & Printing Studio

Adding to the experience, our Student Guides and Experience Team played a key role in welcoming guests and taking them through each hub, demonstrating confidence, communication skills, and leadership.

The event was further brought to life with captivating ballet and taekwondo performances, adding energy, discipline, and excitement to an already vibrant atmosphere.

Parents and guests were impressed by the level of creativity, skill, and confidence displayed by the students. DMS Skills Fest 1.0 reinforces our commitment to raising well-rounded learners—students who are not only academically sound but also equipped as creators, problem-solvers, and future entrepreneurs.
