Dawn Michaels School recently held its 13th Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Graduation Ceremony and Valedictory Service, a heartwarming occasion that marked a significant milestone for our Reception class pupils as they prepare to begin their journey into Year 1.

Held at the Excellence Hall, the event was a colorful celebration of growth, achievement, and cherished memories. The ceremony featured a Green Carpet session, where parents shared their heartfelt experiences in the Early Years journey, what they’ll miss most, and their expectations as their children step into a new academic phase. Hosted by the ever-poised Ms. Isioma, the session captured genuine moments of gratitude and reflection.

A standout moment of the day was the symbolic handover led by Mrs. Stella Dimegwu, Head of EYFS, who officially transitioned the graduating class to the care of Mr. Ekeno, Head of School. This touching moment represented more than a shift in academic levels — it was a celebration of progress and continuity in the learning journey at Dawn Michaels School.

Other key highlights included:

  • A moving Valedictorian Speech by Jessie O., who reflected that “The Early Years classroom wasn’t just a room with books and toys, it was our second home.”

  • Beautiful performances by the pupils, including a graceful ballet presentation that captured the spirit of creativity and expression.

  • The presentation of awards from Toddler class to Reception in the Brain-a-pedia and Spell-a-thon competitions, recognizing academic excellence and enthusiasm for learning.

At Dawn Michaels School, we believe in celebrating every phase of a child’s development. The EYFS graduation is one of our proudest traditions — a moment to honor both the little victories and the big transitions.

We are proud of our young graduates — the Class of 2025 — and we look forward to seeing them thrive in their next chapter.
