Dawn Michaels School Secondary proudly hosted Speak Out 3.0, a vibrant celebration of expression, intellect, and creativity, centered around the power of words and the beauty of literature.
This year’s theme, “Let’s Get Literary: Creativity at Its Peak,” came alive as students took the stage to explore language, storytelling, and communication in dynamic and engaging ways. The event featured a rich blend of activities designed to challenge minds and inspire confident self-expression.
One of the standout moments of the event was the Battle of Words, where students engaged in thought-provoking discussions on the evolving roles of Artificial Intelligence and the Library. The session showcased critical thinking, perspective-building, and the ability to articulate ideas with clarity and confidence.
The event also featured captivating poetry slams, expressive dramatic poems, and a classic drama presentation, where students brought stories to life through performance and emotion. Each presentation reflected creativity, depth, and a strong command of language.
Adding to the excitement were intellectually stimulating activities such as the Spelling Bee and interactive word-based games, which tested vocabulary, accuracy, and quick thinking in a fun and engaging way. The debate sessions further challenged students to think on their feet, defend their viewpoints, and respect diverse perspectives.
Speak Out 3.0 was not just an event, but an experience that celebrated the art of communication in all its forms. It reinforced the importance of literacy, creativity, and confident expression as essential life skills.
At Dawn Michaels School, we remain committed to nurturing students who are not only academically excellent but also articulate, expressive, and intellectually empowered. Speak Out 3.0 truly reflected this vision—creativity at its peak.
